Reena & Mital met over 20 years ago and their friendship began through their love of the popular Indian folk dance, Garba (and being the best on the dance-floor woo!).
Since then, their lives coincidentally have been on similar paths. After becoming first-time Moms, they decided to write a book for their babies about the Gods & Goddesses they had learned about in many bedtime stories with their own grandmothers. This book was the beginning of their brand- Desi Babies.

As parents, we continue to look for cool and modern ways to teach our children about culture and the importance of God. Living in a Western world, it is challenging to incorporate our South Asian heritage in a way that is meaningful to children. At Desi Babies, we strive to create fun and vibrant products which will stimulate the growth and creativity of the modern desi baby!
